Low frequency vibrations can adversely affect the accuracy, repeatability and throughput quality of precision equipment such as a CMM, Roundness / Roughness testers, Microscopes, Semiconductor and Nanotech applications, Laser based applications or other equally sensitive machine . Measuring and analyzing the vibration level existing at a present or proposed installation site is recommended to assure long term accuracy and reliability.
A vibration site survey/analysis will determine the levels of vibration existing at your site which is required for proper vibration control. Analyses include actual test data outlining the frequency and corresponding amplitude of acceleration or velocity or displacements which may cause potential problems.
This in turn will help identify problem situations. Any preventive or corrective action along with vibration insulation solution / system can thus be determined.
Measurements will be made with a combination of a sophisticated FFT analyzer, highly sensitive geophone and a PC calculation program. Vibration speeds of under 0.01µm/s in the range of 0.2 to 30 Hz can be recorded with a geophone.
All three axes (x, y, z) will be simultaneously, measured to ensure standard environmental disturbances. The first step is to determine the maximum measured vibrations for each of the three vectors x, y and z. The largest of the three values is to be compared to the limit curve graph of the machine. This in turn will help identify if any precaution or anti vibration system is required for the machine or not.
Vibration Analysis is a combination of Art and Technique. We will be happy to assist you with not only vibration measurement and analysis but also provide right solution to your vibration problems!
